PASTORAL CARE​

 

We provide professional counseling to all Church of God credentialed ministers and their families. This is professional counseling that is trustworthy and ranges from a variety of needs, including but not limited to: marital, financial, burnout, depression, anger, false guilt, church conflict, self-esteem, loneliness, grief, parenting, etc. We are Theo-centric in our counseling process and offer counseling from a Pentecostal perspective. We understand the importance of the Holy Scriptures along with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. 

Objective: To offer care to those who are caregivers. The pastoral family is under a tremendous amount of stress in today’s societal climate. There are times when the caregiver is in a season where he/she needs care. Therefore, we want to come alongside our ministers and their families to offer care that is trustworthy and that is professional. All our ministers, ministerial spouses, and children are valuable. It is important that they receive the same kind of love and care they provide for their parishioners on a daily basis.

CONSIDERING THE COST

 

We have a wonderful opportunity to focus exclusively on the Church of God minister and his/her immediate family. Therefore, we provide professional counseling for all Church of God credentialed ministers. Not only is the counseling itself at no cost to Church of God ministers, but we are also able to provide lodging support on a case-by-case basis for those who need it. We do not want cost to prohibit you from seeking the help you need, and will work with you to that end.

It is difficult to determine what the cost of this service would be due to the increase in range of counseling costs with factors such as experience, location, and personal insurance. However, it is safe to estimate that counseling costs $150 - 200 per hour depending on the factors listed above. In a normal two-day counseling session, therefore, there will be 10 hours of counseling work provided.  This would save those seeking counseling anywhere from $1500 - 2,000.
 

 

Why do we offer this service at no cost for Church of God ministerial families?

1. We believe in the importance of our ministers and the work they perform daily. They serve on the front line of ministry, and it is an honor to serve those who are going through the grind of everyday ministry.

2. Because we can. Thanks to the wonderful donors who believe in and give to this ministry, we can offer this ministry at no out-of-pocket cost.

3. We believe that the health of our ministerial families will result in the health of our churches; therefore it is a worthy endeavor. 

4. Church of God ministers are worth it! We believe in the role and the calling that our ministers have upon their lives, so we consider it an honor to serve.
